Banjo players have some special problems.

OK, let's not get wise. . .

Well, if you use a capo across all the strings to raise the pitch, what do you do with the fifth string. It starts at the fifth fret so if you capo the other four strings at the second fret you must capo the fifth string at the seventh, or two frets up from its beginning.

That's why banjo players have an accessory fifth string capo screwed to the side of the neck:




Then they can just slide the moveable finger up to the desired fret, and simply screw it down to hold the string there:


A simple but necessary addition to the five string banjo!
