I don't know much about this fine old guitar, but it certainly is in the early French style, very delicate, and with simple transverse top bracing. This instrument appears to be all original, except the strings, of course. It has a single piece maple neck, with a grafted headstock. The back and sides are of very thin figured maple, and the top is spruce, with characteristic multiple purflings.
